Glimpse, the latest shopping site for women, has officially launched today.

Glimpse aims to provide a shopping resource as a hub for your online fashion exploration as well as direct access to buying items online. With Glimpse, you can find trendy clothes and accessories, check out the featured celebrity looks, peruse the brand and store directories, and save items to your list. Saved items can be emailed out to friends, bought through the retailer's website, or placed on a sale alert. This mix of magazine and wish list is growing popular, especially with female shopping sites, though premium or editorial content would make Glimpse feel more like a magazine site.

I think a great way for Glimpse to stand out from the crowd would be to incorporate some social functionality, such as profiles, friends, and peer reviews. As an online shopper, I'd be more likely to consider reviews from a third party, such as Buzzillions, as opposed to the retailer's site. Other social features could include a shareable wishlist such as Wisheus, user-submitted images and photos (to show off fashion sense, right?), and the ability to add users to (or subscribe to) a favorites list.

Others in this space include Osoyou, and online magazine components such as Lucky and Glamour.
