Glitter lips are having a moment and you won't regret it

If decorating your nails with glitter polish and decking your eyelids with sparkly shadows is your favorite part of the holiday season, prepare your lips to join in the fun.

Blinged-out lips are the latest festive beauty trend.

"Glitter can add just the right amount of sexy glam to your overall look." MAC Cosmetics Senior Artist Keri Blair tells Mashable. "Perfect your base color using lip pencil, lipstick or both. If your lipstick is creamy, you can tap your favorite glitter right on top of the lipstick with your finger." She suggests MAC Cosmetics Glitter in Reflects Pearl.

For a matte finish, "apply the slightest amount of lip balm, gloss or Vaseline to the lips and tap your glitter right on top with the pad of your finger. Powder over with a fluffy brush will help sweep away any excess fall out,” says Blair.
