The star-studded Global Citizen Festival is about to add some more famous friends into the mix.

Stephen Colbert, Kerry Washington, Salma Hayek, Olivia Wilde and Deborra-Lee and Hugh Jackman will all help host the massive social good festival. Willie Geist, Janet Mock, Thomas Roberts and Alex Wagner will host the live simulcast on MSNBC, while Tamron Hall will host a one-hour special on NBC.

Hugh Evans, the CEO of Global Citizen, tells Mashable that the hosts were chosen for more than just big name appeal.

"Our lead-hosts have proven themselves to be exceptionally dedicated activists for the world’s most vulnerable," he says. "I can't wait to see what happens when we get all these superstar change-makers together on one stage!"

“I am honored and thrilled to join Global Citizen in urging world leaders to commit to ending extreme poverty," Colbert said in a statement. "Finally, all that U.N. traffic will have a purpose!”

Co-hosts Washington and Wilde also noted how "excited" they were to host this year and lend their names to the festival.

“Empowering girls and women is a key step toward ending extreme poverty, and I am proud to be a part of this historic moment," Hayek said in a statement.

The festival, which aims to end extreme poverty by 2030, also boasts an impressive musical lineup. Beyoncé, Pearl Jam, Ed Sheeran and Coldplay will all perform at the free Central Park festival on Sept. 26.
