GodTube was the #1 fastest growing website in the US for the month of August, ranking as a top 1000 web property. With a 973% growth in August, reported by comScore, the site has done well since its launch in August. Well, its official launch, really. The site came with a much improved user interface and introduced itself again as a much improved network. There have been some good omens for other faith-based networks, including MyChurch.org reaching a milestone of 10,000 churches as well.
In other news, comScore's latest Media Metrix report for August indicates strong activity for education-related sites, as do sports and outdoors sites. There's an obvious correlation between back-to-school, and the new football season in regards to this online activity trend. Other notable points from the report show interest in lottery sites due to near-record jackpots, as well as Comedy Central being the leader for the comedy sector.
