Going.com, the event-focused social network formerly known as HeyLetsGo, will announce funding on Wednesday of $5 million from General Catalyst Partners and Highland Capital Partners. The site, which serves 20-somethings in Boston, New York, San Francisco and Chicago, reports twelve-fold growth in six months - it now claims 500,000 monthly visitors (seemingly not uniques).

We reported on a $3.5 million round for the company in August 2006.
