Sometimes Apple does things that not even the biggest fanboy could defend. Most recently, it was the choice to offer the new iPhone 5S, revealed on Tuesday, in gold. Oh, sorry, we meant "champagne."
And while no actual Apple execs will tell us what lead to the curious color choice, comedian Conan O'Brien has attempted to explain it.
This giggle-inducing iPhone promo parody claims that "Raffi Jaharian" the "VP of Gold" was responsible for the latest gadget. Plus, the Apple team in Cupertino really had no input -- the gold phone was developed in Miami, Fla., for obvious reasons.
And really, why not gold? As Jaharian says, "Gold is best. Best best best." Who can argue with that?
