LOS ANGELES -- Tina Fey and Amy Poehler returned to host the Golden Globes (and the duo will be back in 2015), poking fun at a handful of nominees and mentioning Netflix's nominations for House of Cards and Orange Is the New Black during their opening act.
"Enjoy it while it lasts Netflix," Poehler said, joking that Snapchat will be soon replacing Netflix as the next hot digital entity vying for Golden Globes.
Netflix went on to win its first Golden Globe, as Robin Wright of House of Cards earned Best Actress in a TV Drama, beating Julianna Marguiles (The Good Wife), Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black), Taylor Schilling (Orange Is the New Black) and Kerry Washington (Scandal).

"We are having fun with that, and I am going to say the people who are creating the show with me will be hitting up cameos from all these great actors. We have to figure that out story-wise. We had a long lead time between when the show finished shooting and when we won that Emmy, and it was time to reflect on it and it was time to think, was it the right thing to end it when we did, and as much as I miss these wonderful folks and crew and Albuquerque, the city where we shot the show in, I really feel good about — I feel at piece about the fact that we ended it when we did. It is better to go out with people wanting more rather than people saying, 'Oh, nice going here.'"

I can’t believe this. God knows. You’ve nominated me about five times, I think. Anyway. Okay. Scottish background to the front. Okay. I always wanted to do something for the BBC, and we did this, and this was great. Chiwetel, can I tell you? Can I see Chiwetel? I need him for inspiration. Where is he? Okay. We had a good cast, didn’t we? It was great. Stars, thank you for putting this on, and thank you to my British agent, Steve Kenis, and my American agent, Harry Abrams. I’m sorry. I’m going to get this together. I want to thank the people who have given me joy, and there have been many. And the people who have given me shit, I say it like my mother ‑‑ what did she say? She used to say, 'Go to hell, and don’t come back.' However ‑‑ however ‑‑ however, my mother was not entirely mean. I believe, if you want to look good, you’ve got to forgive everybody. You have to forgive everybody. It’s the best beauty treatment, forgiveness for yourself and for the others. I love my friends. I love my family, and you are so kind. Thank you so much."

Cate Blanchett backstage on her role:
"It was a mind fuck. It was, as you say, extraordinarily complex. It was important to me to shoot through of not only the levels of what Jasmine was hiding to herself, but also the layers of dissolution and guilt. She’s a combustion of that cocktail that she carries with her when she hits San Francisco. Fortunately not having personally had a relationship with prescription drugs, just working out what she was on and not on medically. There’s of course a lot of preparation you do, but in the end, as I said, Woody’s films live or die on the connection between actors. So then you have to leave that homework behind and be aware of where he’s putting the camera and live to what the other actors are bringing. I think Blue Jasmine does live because of the ensemble."
