Amy Poehler's Smart Girls has been working for years to improve Hollywood's conversations with women while inspiring young girls to aspire to intelligence and greatness. The Smart Girls team continued their crusade at the Golden Globes, asking winners insightful questions that went beyond the usual red carpet "who are you wearing" banter. Here are some of the most excellent responses they received.

Cookie Lyon may be an inspiration to women of all ages, but Taraji P. Henson looks up to her 91-year-old grandmother, a mother of eight who kept a big family close together with "her love, her sheer love."

Where would Hollywood be without a little failure? The makers of Inside Out said failure was a key part of getting the film right after many iterations -- so girls shouldn't fear it.

Jussie Smollett had a pretty perfect response to Zendaya's question about how he would create change in the world. The Empire actor wants to end racial profiling and the spread of HIV and will continue to work toward those causes.

Emmy Rossum wasn't what the casting directors of Shameless had in mind for the character of Fiona, but that didn't stop the actress. "Nothing gets me more fired up than someone saying no," Rossum told Smart Girls.

It's okay not to know your passion at a young age, says Jon Hamm, but the most important thing is "not [to] freak out about it." Also, he looks great for 100 (or any age).
