Sometimes, the most unlikely relationships end up being the strongest.

Stormy the lamb was born during a thunderstorm on a small farm just outside of Winnepeg, Canada, earlier this month. Though she is just a few weeks old, she has already led an extraordinary life.

Cathy Fleury, Stormy's owner, told CTV News that after Stormy's birth, she heard a commotion. "The poor lamb was flipping all over," she recalled. "The mother...was beating her."

Fleury immediately rescued the lamb. But she was unsure what to do until her golden retriever, Tammy, started following the baby lamb everywhere. The two bonded and now Stormy plays around the farm all day under the watchful eye of Tammy, her new dog mother.

Hopefully, the unlikely pair will have many more years of friendship to look forward to.
