In May, unique visitors to Google's websites rose 8.4% compared to May 2010. Microsoft's sites were number two with 905 million uniques, a 15% rise. Facebook's were up 30% to 714 million. And Yahoo had 689 million.

ComScore's estimates are based on a panel of 2 million Internet users. The researcher started tracking such traffic in 2006. At that time, Google had about 496 million uniques per month.

Despite the latest ranking on uniques, Yahoo still has more monthly visitors in the U.S. than Google. In May, an estimated 188.8 million people visited Yahoo's sites vs. 180 million for Google and 179.8 million for Microsoft.
