62.57% of Buzz posts originate on Twitter. Users are automatically re-posting their tweets to Buzz so they don't have to type in updates for each service separately. One imagines that Facebook updates would be a big chunk too if they were supported.
Websites are also automatically posting their new articles and posts through RSS without adding any additional content. That accounts for 26.47% of total content. Put those two numbers together and you see the verdict: 89.04% of Buzz content is automatically pushed into the social network.
We're reminded of the study that found that 24% of tweets are created by bots, although it's not quite the same. Much of Buzz's content may be hand-crafted — it just doesn't originate on Buzz.
