Google's iOS Update for Chrome Is More Connected Than Ever

Google Chrome for iOS just got a little sleeker.

Google updated Chrome for the iPhone and iPad, adding a new design for iOS 7 as well as improving the fullscreen experience on the iPad.

The newest version of the app ties together the browser and other Google apps on your device. If you’re signed into Chrome, you can sign into other Google apps simply by specifying which Google account you'd like to sign in with -- rather than entering your username and password information again.

Links in Chrome now open directly in Google Maps, Gmail, Drive and YouTube. For instance, if you find a great restaurant online, tapping its address will now launch Google Maps rather than Apple Maps on your device.

Voice search in the app was also updated with the release, offering the opportunity to string together searches. For instance, you might ask, “What is George Clooney’s latest movie?” followed by “How old is he?” -- and Chrome will understand who "he" refers to.

The new version of Chrome is now available for the iPhone and iPad.
