When you think of Google Docs, professional songwriting is likely not the first activity that comes to mind. That may change when you see this video from indie rocker Sad13 and hip hop artist Lizzo, who used Google's software to write a song together in real time.

Though writing collaboratively is far from a new idea to anyone who has used Google Docs in the past, the behind the scenes video offers an intriguing look into the songwriting process.

The two artists met for the first time over Google Hangouts, where they talked through ideas for the song they co-wrote in real time with Google Docs during their collaboration, which was detailed on Google's blog Wednesday. Later, they met up in person to record the result of their efforts, "Basement Queens."
