On the heels of Tuesday's addictive Google Doodle game, which puts you in the shoes of an Olympic hurdler racing for gold, Google has quietly added tomorrow's Doodle to the web: an interactive basketball game.

To celebrate the upcoming men's basketball quarterfinal games, a Google Doodle is already showing up in its Google Doodle gallery with a scheduled date for Wed., Aug. 8.

To play tomorrow's Doodle now, click here.

Here's how it works: after clicking the "play" button, you -- an Olympic basketball player -- have 24 seconds to shoot as many basketballs into the hoop as possible. The space bar sets the shot and tapping it once more shoots the ball toward the basket. It also works if you use your mouse to click the Olympian.

Google's 2012 Hurdles Doodle on Tuesday quickly became buzzed about on the web, with many fans saying they spent a handful of time trying to beat their best time. Users can also share their speed and earned medals to their Google+ circles.

What do you think of the basketball Google Doodle? Do you prefer it to today's game?
