Google has added another city to its Google Fiber-enabled list, and it's a big one: Austin, Texas. The company announced on its Fiber blog Monday that it has started accepting sign-ups for the service in the south and southeast areas of Austin.

Austinites, who've been waiting for this one since April 2013, can choose between three Fiber plans: Gigabit + TV for $130 per month, Gigabit Internet for $70 per month, and Basic Internet for exactly zero bucks -- provided you're ready to pay the $300 construction fee (which is absent from the other two plans).

There's an option for businesses as well, at $100 per month for a 1 gigabit speed, with static IP as an option for $20 per month (or $30 per month for a bundle of five).

Announced in July 2012, Google Fiber is Google's high-speed internet network, which has so far been available in only a handful of U.S. cities, including Kansas City, Kan., and Provo, Utah.

To help people learn more about Google Fiber, the company also opened a Fiber Space in downtown Austin on Monday, letting people try out and sign up for the service.
