Marissa Mayer has posted some early screenshots of what Google Health will look like. If you didn’t quite understand what Google was up to before, the above screenshot makes it pretty clear; all of your pertinent health information like medications, allergies, immunizations, etc in a Google account that you can manage. Your doctors' records, prescription history, and test results can be imported into your profile.
It’s a little scary, but also enormously ambitious and potentially a big step forward in America’s incredibly confusing healthcare system. Mayer has outlined some specifics relating to the company’s healthcare strategy on the Official Google Blog.
