Google has announced the dates for this year's Google I/O developer conference: June 25-26.

The seventh annual Google I/O conference will be held at Moscone West, the largest convention and exhibition complex in San Francisco. Those who cannot attend will be able to follow the event via a live stream.

Registration info and other details are coming next month. Googler Sundar Pichai revealed that this year, the company will be implementing a new registration system, with everyone submitting their interest in attending the conference. Google will then randomly select attendees from the applicants and notify them directly.

Google has likely tweaked the registration system due to the enormous interest for the conference; the 2013 Google I/O sold out in about an hour.

Last year at its conference, Google launched the new Google Maps as well as a redesigned Google+ platform, among other announcements.
