Specifically, all logos (aside from products with their own branding like Gmail) now include Google’s standard logo, plus the product name in the same “clean, simple blue lowercase type,” as described by Marissa Mayer, Google’s VP of Search Products and User Experience. Additionally, the logos are now “standardized to be the same size and color wherever they appear,” according to Mayer. That should lead to a more consistent look and feel as you explore services like Google News, and also make the lives of bloggers that report on Google products and like to include their logos in stories that much easier :) The logos don’t appear to be live yet on all Google products, but will be rolled out “over the next few weeks.”
