Google News has a tiny update; now, for each search you will get related search items at the bottom of the search results page. Folks at Google think this feature could be used not only for refining your search, but as a new way to browse news; however, if they really wanted that, they would have put the feature on top of the page. I doubt anyone would want to scroll all the way down for each new search item.
That said, we've put the algorithim to the test and it worked fine. You can see related searches for "Yahoo" below.
