Google Now Updated With Boarding Passes, Improved Voice Search

Google Now unveiled its latest update Wednesday, introducing instant access to your boarding pass and other travel-friendly features.

The intelligent personal assistant for devices running Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) or higher will now pull up a user's boarding pass at the airport automatically, helping reduce travel time through the gate.

Packing for a trip? Google Now will also provide users with the weather forecast for their destination on one of its many "cards," according to a post on Android's official blog.

Upon arrival, the assistant acts like a local guide, offering tips for nearby activities and events, the post said. It also suggests websites for users to consult when researching their destination. For those interested in cultural attractions, Google Now gives more information about specific pieces while users are at a museum.

Users will also notice enhanced Voice Search capabilities: They can now find product information and the name of a song that's playing, as well as post updates to Google+, using voice.

The new features will be available in the updated Google Search app, which is available in the Google Play store.
