Gone are the days of hiding your bulky -- admittedly ugly -- Internet routers.

OnHub, a router from Google that provides Wi-Fi, has partnered with TP-LINK to create a set of three interchangeable shells to allow router customization in your home.

To raise awareness for their new shells, OnHub recruited artists and designers to create their own interchangeable shells. The project, which was released Tuesday, is called OnHub Makers.

Some of the designers taking part in the OnHub Makers project are popular Brooklyn design team Adam Frezza and Terri Chiao and award-winning artist Maya Freelon Asante.

Here are a few of the designs:

In addition to the designs created for OnHub Makers, the company is allowing customers to design their own shells.

OnHub provided CAD files, 2D outlines and a set of guidelines for download on their site.

Creators can tag a photo of their creation on social media using #OnHubMakers and, if selected, their creation can appear in the Maker Gallery online.

Google will also release three limited edition OnHub shells: Bamboo, black and silver, and white and gold.

According to OnHub's website, the shells were created to help the routers blend into the homes of users, thus eliminating the need to hide the devices, which can weaken the Wi-Fi signals.

The router shells will sell for between $29 and $39 and will be available on the Google Store later today.
