Google Dropping Postini Employees in Year-End Layoffs?

[img src="" caption="" credit="" alt=""]Has Google let go of 60 former Postini employees? After having acquired the email and web communications security company in July for $625 million, there is now an unconfirmed rumor from Wired that Google has let a few dozen employees go.

Google hasn't commented on this rumor regrading the specifics, but has indicated that the company has evaluated the staffing needs and has "allocated its resources" accordingly. Google has rolled out its first set of updates for Postini, so it's evident that Google has had time to work closely with Postini in an integrated manner. Google must have had time to make some serious assessments in regards to Postini, which is expected to be further integrated into Google's suite of applications, including Gmail.
