The Google Reader blog announced today that Google Reader and the Google Personalized Homepage are now counting subscriber numbers. There were so many feed-related products at Google, the team says, that it took a long time to complete the task: it's now done, and readers are being tallied.

If you're a blogger, you'll now be able to see how many people are reader your blog via those services: Feedburner says its numbers will be updated on Saturday morning, EST.

Google has also rolled out a Google Reader for Publishers page, providing tips to help your subscribers and recommendations for promoting your feed. Among them: publishing an "Add to Google" button, like Mashable's button below.
