Google Adds Search Filter for GIFs, Transparent Images

It's become common practice for the Internet to express its feelings through animated GIFs, however it's not always easy to locate the perfect situation-worthy GIF.

Google is easing the woes of GIF addicts with a filters that will make it easier to narrow down searches specifically for animated images and transparent images.

The company announced starting Tuesday users can click on the "search tools" button below the search box and select "animated" under the "any type" dropdown menu to refine their results. Users can also select "transparent" under the color filter.

The GIF search filter should hopefully make the hunt more efficient than slogging through thousands of image search results for the best fit.
