It sounds unlikely, but the latest rumor concerning Google is a potential acquisition of Sirius Satellite Radio. Those speculating point to the fact Google is moving into radio advertising, could expand the company's audience by streaming Sirius content over the Web, and through Sirius subscriptions, could diversify its revenue.
However, there are big hurdles to such a deal. First, the proposed merger of Sirius and XM has still not been approved by regulators. Second, Sirius is a big money loser, something some Google shareholder's would likely not be happy about bringing into the Googleplex.
For now, this seems about as likely as the rumors of Google buying Apple rumors that popped up a few months ago.
