Google has announced the launch of its “Summer of Code” program, the fourth year of the company’s initiative to fund student’s open source projects. Google pays students a stipend for their work, and connects them with top open source organizations including Dojo and Ubuntu.
To apply, you need to submit a project proposal to Google, ideally relating to one of the 130+ open source projects participating in the program. Student applications are being accepted March 24-31, while the actual program runs from May 26 through August 18.
