LONDON -- Google is never short of an Easter Egg or two to celebrate special occasions, and Wednesday -- which is the day Queen Elizabeth II officially becomes the UK's longest reigning monarch -- is no exception.

Google UK announced on Twitter Wednesday morning the arrival of "PegMa'am," a royally decked out version of the little peg figure everyone uses to switch to street view in Google Maps.

We'd like to welcome PegMa'am to Buckingham Palace Street View @GoogleMaps: https://t.co/ovWIV5UtLs #longestreign pic.twitter.com/jzQ4IspYkV— Google UK (@GoogleUK) September 9, 2015

PegMan only becomes PegMa'am when Buckingham Palace is on the screen, which we think is a nice touch.

Here's a quick GIF of PegMa'am flying into action.

Finally, rather than a Google Doodle, Google UK's homepage also celebrated the Queen's record-breaking reign with the following simple message.
