Pure Digital, makers of the popular "Point and Shoot" disposable camcorder, are set to provide direct uploading to Grouper and Google Video through the new version of their software. The system is pretty simple: shoot a video, plug the camcorder into your USB port and upload to Grouper or Google using the built-in software. The software was developed in partnership with Grouper, and as a result the integration with that service is better - the camcorder communicates with Grouper automatically, while uploading to Google means visiting Google Video and navigating the interface.

This isn't the first time that Grouper has tried to gain customers through deals with camera companies. It was announced in July that Grouper would recommend Logitech webcams to its users - in exchange, Logitech would offer direct uploading to Grouper through its QuickCam software. These deals are good for all the companies involved, and will make these products even easier to use for less tech-savvy users. If Grouper isn't your video-sharing site of choice, however, you're out of luck.
