After all the moves to protect YouTube against litigation, it looks like a lawsuit has been filed Google's own video service, Google Video. The company is being sued over copyright infringement, Google said a few hours ago, without providing details. The news follows a claim today by Google CEO Eric Schmidt that they haven't set aside $500 million to cover the legal costs of YouTube, despite blog rumors. Speaking at the Web 2.0 Summit in San Francisco, he also said that Google is committed to tackling copyright concerns. In fact, it's known that both Google and YouTube have been working on systems to track down and remove copyrighted content.
