Is Google getting into the credit card business?

A report in Android Police outlines the possible existence of a physical credit card issued by Google. The Google Wallet card, as it's known, will supplement the Google Wallet mobile payment system. The card, which would look and operate like other credit cards, is designed to sync with whatever credit card you've selected for payment on Google Wallet. In situations where you can't or don't want to use your mobile device for payment, you can use the Google Wallet card instead. "

The report included screenshots introducing Android users to the card. "When you can't tap and pay, you can use the Google Wallet card," one reads. "You can use it where major credit and debit cards are accepted...You can leave all the cards you used to carry at home." Google will send interested users a card via snail mail, according to the report.
