GoPro is about to upgrade its slow-mo capabilities.

Gizmodo's Brent Rose posted this first look, above, at an upcoming firmware update for the GoPro Hero4 that will allow for 240 frames-per-second slow motion in high definition.

According to the tech news site, the video was shot at 240 fps, then slowed down to one-tenth of that speed. While the camera currently allows for slow-motion footage, it's not possible to shoot smooth slow-mo video that's also high definition.
