Go Where Lets You Send Celebrities to Hell

Go Where is a new Facebook application that let’s you virtually send your friends and various celebrities to different locations. There are two uses the developers see for the application: the entertaining aspect of sending Lindsay Lohan or Paris Hilton to jail, or the “meet up” angle of using Go Where to get your friends together at a specific address.

On the entertainment part of the application, Go Where has a “celebrity stats” page where you can see where celebrities have been sent the most by users. Currently, George Bush has been sent “to the pits of hell” 8 times, giving him the top spot on the leaderboard. Meanwhile, the application also keeps track of where you send your friends, and allows you to send them to a specific physical address.

I’m not sure there is a whole lot of usefulness to Go Where, but it is a mildly entertaining way to draw attention to the app’s creator, Local Matters, which provides yellow pages and directory assistance services. Local Matters is founded by Perry Evans, who was previously the founder of MapQuest.
