Three of the New York Mets' most hardcore fans just had the baseball experience of their lifetimes.
Jeanette Souza, 86, along with 75-year-old Jeanie Boffardi and 96-year-old Mildred Lamanno have been Mets superfans since the team's 1962 inception -- and they aren't shy about it.
"[Once] we were at a ball game and the people next to us said we were making too much noise," Souza told the New York Post. "At a ball game. Making too much noise."
"They weren't baseball lovers," she added.
The Mets invited the three women to Citi Field for a dream Mets-themed tour, including a visit to the clubhouse and practice at the batting cage.
Finally, the three visited the diamond itself, where their names lit up the Jumbotron.
Finally, the ladies headed to a Braves at Mets game, where they cheered on their favorite players from the stands.
"It was beautiful and touching," said Lamanno at day's end. "I'm still in a dream."
