So You're a Graphic Designer, What Next?

Once you've learned to design, whether it's in school or on your own efforts, the world is a wide open space of opportunities. Job title, location, salary potential and type of firm are all things to consider when making employment moves as a designer. You might want to start at an agency, but what size? This handy infographic produced by Invision reveals some tips, and also names a few startups with a designer co-founder (and doesn't this make a difference in the product?!), reinforcing the importance of great design.

What choices have you made as a designer, and where do you hope your career will take you? Tell us in the comments.
