We'll just say what you're all thinking: Grilled cheese is the greatest food of all time.
It's easy to make, can be eaten at any time of day and has thousands of variations. Vegetarians and carnivores alike love it; it's creamy and crunchy; it's cheap to make for a crowd and adorable to make for a date. It's basically your soul mate.
Here are a few of the greatest things that ever happened to the world's greatest sandwich.

Why aren't crispy bacon, tangy cheese and sugary donut sandwiches more of a "thing?" It's fatty, it's crispy, it's juicy, it's sweet... This isn't a love poem but it might as well be.
5. Most expensive grilled cheese in the world
This Serendipity 3 Guinness Book of World Records holder is made with bread made with champagne, a schmear of white truffle butter and special Caciocavallo Podolico cheese from Italian cows that only lactate two months out of the year. It will set you back $214 and requires 48 hours advance notice, but if you've always wanted to eat lunch like Scrooge McDuck, here's your chance.
