Future grooms, the bar has been set.

Kirk Henning, a professional dancer for the Richmond Ballet, surprised his new wife, Valerie Tellmann-Henning, with an elaborate, eight-minute dance routine to a medley of songs at their reception on July 25. The performance, which was uploaded to YouTube last week, was complete with Britney Spears choreography, confetti, breakdancing and several groovy groomsmen.

Henning tells the Richmond Times-Dispatch he secretly started planning the dance four months in advance by sending out tutorial videos to the groomsmen.

“I knew how important it was to her,” Henning said. “So I figured, we’re going to do this or die trying.”

Valerie is also a ballerina for the Richmond Ballet, and their wedding reception took place in Virginia at CenterStage -- the same stage the couple had danced on during ballet performances together.

Needless to say, the performance swept Valerie off her feet.
