Okay, campers, rise and shine and feel free to leave your booties at home because it's not going to be cold for much longer.

This morning, the famous weather-predicting groundhog Punxsutawney Phil did not see his shadow, thereby predicting an early spring season, according to local news station WKYC.

The prediction is somewhat historic, as Phil has only failed to see his shadow 18 times since 1887.

Phil isn't the only one, either. Staten Island's weather groundhog, Chuck, also failed to see his shadow.

Since 1988, Punxsutawney Phil's predictions have been correct 13 times and incorrect 15 times.

Good work, today, Phil. Go back in your hole and we'll see you next year.
