Fresh off rejecting Google’s $6 billion acquisition offer, Groupon has added a new CFO, a move that will undoubtedly fuel further speculation that the quickly growing e-commerce outfit will go public.
In a statement, the company announced that it had named Jason Child to the position. Child was most recently Amazon’s VP of finance internationally – a $14 billion business.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Child previously served a variety of other finance roles within Amazon, including director of investor relations and VP of finance in Asia.
