Springfield, Massachusetts, Groupon subscribers will be notified of the deal at Big Y Foods stores -- a $39.99 "Shellfish Grill Pack" for $24 -- on Tuesday, reports the Chicago Tribune. Unlike most Groupons that rely on a printed coupon or mobile phone for redemption, however, those who purchase the deal will have it credited to their Big Y Foods loyalty cards.

Groupon has offered other grocery deals in the past. Earlier this year, the company offered a home grocery delivery deal, and last year it offered a deal for an upscale market in Chicago. Big Y, with its 61 stores, is the first multi-store grocer that the company has partnered with. It's also the first time that any retailer has integrated Groupon into its loyalty card program.

As Groupon anticipates its IPO (and analysts' skepticism grows as they pick apart its filings), it's no surprise that the company is searching for new markets to apply its group-buying model. The company also recently launched a travel deals service with Expedia, a local ticketing service with Live Nation and a real-time deals platform.
