Grumpy Cat may know how to carry a meme well past its prime, but everyone's favorite sour puss isn't exactly a TV star, it seems.
The Saturday night airing of Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever , the cat's big movie debut, bowed to a stale 1.8 million viewers, according to numbers provided by the network.

It's hard to say exactly what the expectations were for the film, which centered on a talking feline (voiced by Aubrey Plaza) who befriends a young girl. But as EW points out, it's far from a smash even in the realm of Christmas movies. In fact, Hallmark's Christmas Under Wraps, which aired opposite, drew 5.8 million viewers.
Expectedly, however, Grumpy Cat saw some heavy Twitter action, earning the crown for most Tweeted program of the night, excluding sports.
