We would like to present Exhibit A.

It's not easy to convince your parents to buy you a game that features hijacking cars, murdering prostitutes and inciting mass anarchy in the streets. So in an impressive act of persuasion, a 13-year-old asked his parents to have a "private conversation" after dinner, when he revealed a very convincing PowerPoint presentation about Grand Theft Auto V.

"We were preparing for pretty much anything besides a pitch for GTA," one of his parents wrote in an Imgur post.

So, the million-dollar question: Did it work?

"He had us three slides in, but we made a good show of reticence," the Imgur post added. Mission accomplished.
