[img src="" caption="" credit="" alt=""]Gydget, the social marketing platform for online promotions, has closed a Series A round of funding by SunBridget Partners, with additional investment from angel investors. It won't say how much money it received in this round, but the funding will be used for further development of its marketing tools.
One such tool is its widget, powered by Gigya, for promoting bands and artists. This tour widget has all the necessary functions, but lacks the bells and whistles we're starting to see on other promotional widgets. You can browse through its category of artists to select the widget you'd like, and the widget displays music videos, tour dates, and the option to grab the widget for your own use. Other links take site visitors to the artists' home page, or to the iTunes store where they can buy their music.
