Every year, the world's top artists gather for a night of over-the-top performances and wacky speeches -- ostensibly to celebrate music.
This year, the Miley-hosted VMAs were no exception, filled with an abundance of bizarre moments ranging from Justin Bieber flying to a Kanye manifesto (and presidential announcement).

The show was so outlandish that mere words seem inadequate. But that's where poetry comes in.
