Chances are, when you walk into a barber shop you won't ask for the Colonel Sanders Kentucky Fried Chicken fade. Because that's, like, cray.
But that's exactly what customers come to Miguel Rosas of Moline, Illinois for: fades that are more like works of art.
The 30-year-old owns his own business, The New Style Barbershop, and has made a name for himself in not only his home state but in hair competitions throughout the country.
"It started with the KFC cut that got me a lot of recognition," Rosas tells Mashable. "That's what really put me on the map."
He's been cutting hair since 13, he says, but started going into the world of barber shop designs since 2007.
Since, he's won 21 accolades -- 13 of them first place trophies.
Using an Andis Masters hair clipper, he details each of the designs carefully before using GraffEtch pencils for coloring.
"I want to start a barber school in the future where I not only teach my students everything I know but also how to start their own barbershop," he says.
