Spoiler alert, folks: There's going to be a lot of Star Wars costumes at that party you go to this weekend. And who can blame these poor stumped souls? It's topical, easy, iconic, etc. -- an overall solid choice.
But if you're looking to really mix things up this year, look no further than some of TV's most memorable moments of the last year.
From a dearly departed on Game of Thrones, to The Walking Dead's most terrifying character, to a memorable sketch involving the biggest glass of wine you've ever seen, these costumes will truly bring joy to the fellow TV nerds in your life.
Everyone else -- especially those who may bemoan the spoilery quality of some of these costumes -- can bugger off. (What are they doing at a Halloween party anyway? They should be at home catching up on TV.)
