Two guys in Illinois have taken Halloween lights to the next level

What's that? You carved a pumpkin? That’s cute.

Nick Thomas and Steve Jandick are the Shaq and Kobe of synchronized Halloween lights-- admittedly, there isn’t much competition out there to be the Shaq and Kobe of this very niche thing, but it’s still pretty cool.

According to the Chicago Tribune, the Naperville, Illinois duo spent a full month programming and setting up the lights for the show. The monthlong halloween display features songs from Queen, Eric Church (featured above), Eminem and others.

“With the lights and music, [Steve Jandick's] taken it to a new level,” Thomas told the Tribune. “Just one song takes him almost 40 hours to program the lights on the computer, and by now there are 32 songs."

Step up your game, pumpkin carvers.
