LOS ANGELES -- It's messy, it's gnarly, it's not without complications: It's the birth of the Internet, and Al Gore is nowhere in sight.

At the end of the first season of AMC's Halt and Catch Fire, Cameron (Mackenzie Davis) was just booting up Mutiny, the start-up based on her idea to use phones to connect computers for playing games and communicating. Sound familiar?

Skip ahead to Season 2, which AMC just announced will have a May 31 premiere: If you thought your AOL connection was janky, just imagine what it was like in 1985, when these guys were getting you online:

In a near-continuous shot that channels Birdman (but also that incredible tracking sequence from True Detective), the clip follows Donna, who has jumped ship at Cardiff -- despite that her husband Gordon is now in charge there -- and is dealing with an office environment that will make your startup seem downright sane.
