A local TV news host caught his coworker off guard when he compared her to a McDonaldland character during a live broadcast.

Tim Ezell, a FOX 2 St. Louis anchor, introduced April Simpson as "The Hamburglar," a quick dig at her striped white-and-black turtleneck. Though the clip was shot a year and a half ago -- Ezell left Fox 2 St. Louis in July 2014 -- the TV station just shared the clip on YouTube for the first time on Tuesday.

Like a true professional, Simpson holds it together. "It's your birthday, I'll let it pass," she says, before moving on to the day's news.

Comedian Kevin Hart also shared the clip on his Facebook page, propelling the prank to viral heights.

Even now, Simpson still seems pretty relaxed about the whole thing.

Apparently I've been made into several memes.. #fox2 #wrongforthis #thatshirt https://t.co/6b8F0rXedZ— April Simpson (@foxonfox) March 4, 2015
