They will not throw away their shot.

The cast of the celebrated musical Hamilton will perform at this year's Grammys on Feb. 15, adding a splash of Broadway to the music ceremony.

"We're going to do the opening number, scream with joy, and then celebrate the fact that we were just on the Grammys," creator and star Lin-Manuel Miranda told USA Today. "Best night ever."

Though the Grammys take place in Los Angeles, the Hamilton performance will be broadcast live from the Richard Rodgers Theatre in New York City.

The historical hip hop musical about Alexander Hamilton has taken the world by storm, with everyone from President Obama to Beyoncé to Bill Gates stopping by the Great White Way to see it. Hamilton is also nominated for a Grammy this year, for Best Musical Theater Album. The performance will also be the musical's first time in front of a "a televised audience," show producer Jeffrey Seller told USA Today.

For his part, Miranda says he's excited to be a part of Grammys history.

"It's an honor to be a part of this amazing legacy," he says.
