These hamsters live a better life than you do

SINGAPORE -- These dwarf hamsters are playing in a dollhouse setup that their dedicated owner has put together. It's not too many a hamster that gets to sit on a slide, have its own My Little Pony, or lounge in a bedroom that has a tiny wardrobe with little outfits hung in it.

But they don't live in the dollhouse -- that's just for play. Their owner, Jaieden Ace Shen, told Mashable his three critters live in a larger plastic storage container, and now have a toy treehouse to frolic in, as well.

He said their 78 cm (30.7 inch)-wide container is larger than the small cages usually sold in pet stores in Singapore, which don't have minimum size guidelines. "Hamsters do experience claustrophobia, so they gnaw their cage grills out of frustration or in a desperate attempt to 'escape,'" he said.

In the video above, the hamster on the slide is sprawled out over it, gnawing on some food. He falls over backward, but manages to keep a firm grip on his treat. Just a day in the life of an overprivileged hamster.
